Dr. Matthew Pingel, DMD
Board-Certified Pediatric DentistDr. Matthew Pingel is a compassionate Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist with an advanced, airway-focused approach to dental care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences and Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania before achieving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, Dr. Matt completed a General Practice Residency at The Ohio State University, practiced as a general dentist for four years, and then continued to pursue specialized training with a Fellowship at The Ohio State University/Nationwide Children’s Hospital, as well as a pediatric dental residency at the Children's Hospital of Michigan. Driven by a passion for children’s whole-body health, Dr. Matt’s continuing education emphasizes airway growth, functional jaw development, and early interceptive orthopedic and orthodontic treatment—including collaboration with myofunctional therapists and ENT specialists. He approaches every child as a unique individual, adapts care to each child’s needs, and is renowned for his exceptional patience and empathy—often turning anxious or nervous young patients into confident, smiling regulars. Outside the office, Dr. Matt enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife Sandra and their two energetic rescue dogs, Griffin and Eddie. An avid learner and horror movie fan who relishes time outdoors, Dr. Matt believes strongly in helping every child achieve healthier smiles, better sleep, and happier lives.
